Summary 

This story takes place in a high school setting, and follows the lives of a teen named Evan, as he starts discovering a bunch of photographs, some of which he is in. He starts believing that someone is stalking him, although he already feels tortured with his best friend gone, and he not doing anything about it. He starts thinking that his lost best friend Ariel (mentioned previously), but he can't seem to put the pieces together. Follow Evan on his journey to figure out who is leaving him these pictures, and what message they are trying to send.

My Thoughts

I found this to be a very interesting concept, as I have hardly read a book with a plot line like this. I am quite a fan of David Levithan's writing, and this book did not disappoint! The way that this story is written makes it easy to follow, and takes no time at all to finish.

This is the first book that I have read where there are lines crossed out. I believe that this can also be found in Shatter Me, which I have not read, but I am not a fan of this kind of writing style.

Having the pictures to go along with the story made it a lot more interesting. This way, the author didn't have to describe what the pictures looked like. You were able to see it, experience it, and understand it for yourself.

Overall, this story was very mysterious and addicting, as well as a very quick read and i enjoyed it thoroughly.

Summary

Creeps is a story that tells the life of fifteen year old Wayne Pumphrey who is not the most popular kid. Since he is small for his age, he is an easy target for Pete the Meat and his crew. During one of his times of torment, Wayne gets saved temporarily saved by a girl named Majorie who has a dead father, and a bad reputation. They become unlikely friends while working on the school play together. When Pete and his crew take it too far, it starts affecting everyone and sends everything on a downward spiral. Will Wayne be able to finally stand up for himself, or is he damned to be a creep forever?


My Thoughts

Opening this books is like pulling down the lever on a roller coaster. Once you're in, you can't get out until it's over. You go through all of the emotional ups and downs with the main character Wayne, and you build a connection to him.

There aren't many books that leave me reading until midnight, but this one did. Wow!

THAT ENDING. As the story was coming to a close (about 30 pages left), I thought everything had calmed down and the story was about to die down. All the pieces I thought I had put together had changed! It was very climatic right until the end!

This book had many aspects that reminded me of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but I found this one to be better written. In Perks, it is all written though journal entries, and I am not a fan of that. I like to be able to know all of the back story, and not have a biased view of what is going on. With Creeps, it is mostly told in third person narrative, but there are little entries from Wayne that are letter he writes to other characters in the book. I found these enjoyable because you got to know Wayne's perspective of what is going on, and how he felt towards the characters he was writing to.

Overall: I really enjoyed this book, found it funny but taught a good lesson. I cannot wait for everyone to get their hands on a copy when it comes out in August!
